Ultraviolette has proudly announced the launch of the fastest motorcycle in India, the F77. The owners have claimed that its performance will be comparable to the high performing 300cc sports bikes. The Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle also offers impressive charging technology and battery. Let us try to know all about the specifications of this latest launch so that you can decide to be a proud owner.
As per the claims of Ultraviolette, the F77 is a high performer in terms of speed. It does a VBox tested 0-60 kmph in a short span of 2.92 seconds and rapidly gets to 100kmph in just 7.03 seconds. The speed is the same as the TVS Apache RR 310 and is just a second less than the KTM 390 Duke. So, you can well make an estimate of the speed with which the Ultraviolette F77 electric bike helps you to zoom off. When we talk about the speed of an entry-level motorcycle, this electric bike will definitely raise your eyebrows.
A Good Range
The latest launch is an excellent two-wheeler to invest in, with its 4.2kWh modular battery platform. It holds three interchangeable lithium-ion packs of battery. Now, what is this useful for? To get a range of 130-150 km on a full charge, this pack of batteries is the ideal. The weight of each pack of battery is just 8.5 kg and is full of technical specialties.
Some important technicalities
The high figures of speed are due to the presence of a 25kW BLDC electric motor. With up to 90Nm of torque, the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle is a good competitor for many other two-wheelers in the market. As there is no gearbox, the bike does not have clutch levers or gears, as well. The rear brake lever is also mounted where one places the right leg, the same as the conventional motorcycles.
Exciting Features of Ultraviolette F77
The F77 is packed with technology and features. The all-LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, full-colour TFT screen, three ride modes, over-the-air updates, and an entirely dedicated app makes the two-wheeler a must-try. The three modes of riding, like the Eco, Insane, and Sport, help the rider choose the speeding style as per his comfort. The app is meant for displaying important information like the range and the battery charge. It also helps in adjusting the delivery of the torque and regenerating the level of the battery as one likes.
How do you charge the battery?
The F77 is equipped with an in-built 1kW AC charger, which can be charged easily with the help of the normal three-point power socket available in our houses. The batteries can receive an 80% charge in just three hours and can be fully charged in a span of 5 hours. The additional presence of a 3kW DC fast charger can be plugged into the socket over the dummy fuel tank. This helps in charging the batteries to 80% of its capacity in less than 50 minutes and to full capacity in less than 90 minutes.
The Ultraviolette F77 cost
Though the owners announced the model in the official launch, already, the Ultraviolette F77 price has still not been confirmed. The company has just mentioned a range which will be between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 3.25 lakh on-road.
The Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle has been launched in three variants-the F77 Lightning, the F77 laser, and the F77 Shadow. The unveiling of this product has highlighted the penetration of the market with the first of its kind performance-oriented electric motorcycle in India. The bike offers a kerb weight of 158 kg, thus absolutely suitable for riders who prefer riding light.
