Ace actor Anushka Sharma will be seen next in the much-anticipated Satte Pe Satta remake, an iconic movie starring none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. Paired opposite to her is the versatile actor Hrithik Roshan, still basking in the glory of his recent blockbuster hit, War.
Anushka Sharma’s last movie was Zero, in which she was cast opposite King Khan, was a box office failure. The actor had taken a break from movies post that, Satte Pe Satta is the first movie that she has signed up after that. Anushka and Hrithik have been paired for the first time and have created a lot of stir. Bollywood universe is abuzz anticipating the chemistry between the two.
The Satte Pe Satta remake will be called as ‘Seven’ and will be directed by none other than the outspoken director and ace choreographer, Farah Khan. Rohit Shetty, who has given us hits like Golmal and Singham, will produce the project. It is again for the first time that the duo of Farah and Rohit will be seen as collaborating for the big screen.
Farah Khan, in an interview with the IANS, has clearly hinted that the film will be directed by her and produced by Rohit Shetty; however, an official announcement of the film is yet to be made. It is speculated that the big announcement will be made during Diwali, as Shetty is preoccupied with his other commitments.
The 1982, Satte Pe Satta was directed by Raj N. Sippy and the original cast included Amjad Khan, Sachin Pilgaunkar, Shakti Kapoor, Sudhir, Paintal, Inderjeet, Ranjeeta Kaur, Sarika, Prema Narayan, Kanwaljit Singh, Kalpana Iyer and Mac Mohan.
The Satte Pe Satta remake star cast will see popular silver screen actors. It has been revealed from multiple sources that Ritvik Dhanjani has bagged a pivotal role as one of the seven brothers in the film. He is a famous face on the Indian television industry and has participated in multiple reality shows. Apart from him, the other actors playing the role of the brothers include Maniesh Paul and Nakuul Mehta, both the actors have proved their mettle in acting. Together they will make a dynamic star cast.
Nakuul Mehta is currently on a long sabbatical from work, Ritvik is busy hosting Super Dancer, and Maniesh is presently working on Nach Baliye 9 and Movie Masti.
The rest of the star cast for the film is yet to be finalized and revealed. The movie is presently under the pre-production stage and hit the floor in December.
Rohit Shetty is also pre-occupied with ‘Sooryavanshi,’ finishing the last leg of the shooting with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Farah Khan, on the other hand, had taken a long break of 5 years from movies. Her last directorial venture was ‘Happy New Year,’ which released in 2014 and starred Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leading roles along with Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Jackie Shroff.
Farah Khan, who is famous for deriving inspiration from the ’70s and ’80s cinemas, is absolutely delighted to direct the film. She claims that the movie is going to be a huge Bollywood musical. Both Farah and Rohit are incredibly thrilled and excited about the collaboration.
The script of Satte Pe Satta remake is almost finalized and will stick to the original plot of seven orphan brothers living together in complete chaos until the elder brother falls in love with a nurse and marries her. The movie revolves around how she takes charge of the house and brings everyone on the right track. Of course, with a little twist of drama, action, and romance.
